4 chocolate beauty recipes

Chocolate: a gentle exfoliation and a slimming bath

A gentle scrub with coffee and cocoa

An ideal scrub for sensitive skin dries out in winter.

Before starting, take care to clean all the equipment (utensils, pot) with alcohol at 70 or 90 ° C.

Ingredients for a scrub

-2 tablespoons of honey

A fruity slimming bath with cocoa butter

Ingredients

  • -10 g unfiltered cocoa butter
  • -1 tablespoon of vegetable oil of your choice (olive, coconut, apricot, sweet almond ...)
  • -4 drops of grapefruit or cypress essential oil
  • -2 drops of lemon essential oil

Preparation

I melted 10 g of unfiltered cocoa butter and 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a water bath or microwave. Add 4 drops of grapefruit (or cypress) essential oil and two drops of lemon essential oil. Then pour into a hot bath and massage the body with oily drops.

  • -1 teaspoon of white clay
  • -1 teaspoon of cocoa powder
  • -½ teaspoon of coffee powder

Preparation

In a small pot, mix 2 tablespoons of honey, 1 teaspoon of white clay, and 1 teaspoon of cocoa powder. Then add half a teaspoon of coffee powder for the exfoliating effect.

This "minute" treatment cannot be kept because cocoa powder is very sensitive to microbial pollution.

Chocolate: a nourishing cream and a moisturizing lip balm

A special nourishing cream with dry ends with organic cocoa extract

Ingredients

  • -50 g of unfiltered cocoa butter
  • -40 g olive oil
  • -1 teaspoon of organic cosmetic cocoa extract *

Preparation

We melt 50 g of unfiltered cocoa butter and 40 g of olive oil in a bain-marie (or microwave). Off the heat, add a teaspoon of organic cosmetic cocoa extract. Beat with an electric whisk or manually and put the preparation in the freezer for about 5 minutes. I then take the mixture out, the edge of which is slightly hardened before beating it again for 1 minute. Put back in the fridge and repeat the operation 2 to 3 times.

After each step, the preparation homogenizes and thickens. It's ready when it's creamy. If the cream is too hard, it will take on a creamier appearance at room temperature. Tip in case of very high heat: whip the cream in a basin of ice water.

Application

Take a knob of cream and apply the tips. Leave on for 20 minutes to 1 hour, before washing your hair with shampoo.

I can keep this cream in the fridge for up to 3 months in an airtight jar. For better preservation, you can add 10/15 drops of essential oil (lemon or Yang Yang for shinier hair).
